Climate Change & Environmental Justice: Community Outreach for Climate Change (15 clock hours)
In order to earn clock hours for NEA micro-credentials, you need to:
(1) Complete WEA micro-credential orientation to learn about the process and select a micro-credential. Complete orientation ONCE.
(2) Register for an NEA micro-credential https://nea.certificationbank.com/Washington/WEA/StackLibrary_WEA.aspx AND register for WEA clock hours for the specific NEA micro-credential you selected. (You are registering for WEA clock hours on this page.)
(3) Complete the WEA micro-credential workshop EVERY TIME you are working on a new micro-credential.

Community members serve as key stakeholders in efforts to address climate change. When teaching about climate change and devising solutions, educators can look to those in the community as a source of expertise and a bridge to connect with students outside of the classroom.

Educators will engage with the community around solutions to climate change and environmental justice. Community members serve as key stakeholders in efforts to address climate change. When teaching about climate change and devising solutions, educators can look to those in the community as a source of expertise and a bridge to connect with students outside of the classroom. Types of Evidence Required: Presentation of problem, stakeholder contact info, progress tracker.Course Objectives
Educators will create an action plan that supports stakeholder partnerships to carry out climate change initiative.
