TPEP Evidence and Artifacts (AS Online) (Leadership) (8hr)
Clock HourCourse Description
Participants deepen their understanding of the certificated TPEP 4-tiered evaluation system to enhance effective teaching practice and student learning. There will be an emphasis on exploring evidence and artifacts from multiple origins including observations, student growth, reflective and professional practice, and through conversations. Participants will also start aligning evidence with their instructional framework using a component alignment tool. Clock hours for this course meet the Washington state leadership certificate renewal requirement. This online course requires additional reading, research and documentation requirements not required in an in-person or synchronous online course.Course Objectives
1. Understand how evidence and artifacts impact teacher evaluation
2. Understand how conversations in the pre and post conference can be used as evidence
3. Understand the difference between observable evidence in a formal observation and evidence outside the formal observation.
4. Understand multiple ways to measure teacher effectiveness
5. Understand how to naturally harvest evidence and take advantage of existing opportunities
