Join us for this Equity course on April 23rd and 24th from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. to learn how to build on the learning from “Inclusive Mindset: Building the Foundation for Supporting Students with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.”  

This course equips participants with actionable strategies and tools for effectively implementing inclusive practices for students with significant cognitive and complex disabilities. 
This course is most beneficial for special education teachers, general education teachers, administrators, ESPs (paraeducators), and ESAs (counselors, SLPs, OTs). 
Participants are encouraged to come with members of their multi-disciplinary team to begin planning for inclusion. 

Course Objectives for Participants:
Learn the key components of collaborative conversations with multiple stakeholders to facilitate inclusive opportunities for students with significant cognitive disabilities. 
Learn how to create opportunities for belonging for all students.
Break down grade-level learning standards to promote access to the general education curriculum.  
Gain resources to support positive peer support and peer networking. 
Learn how assistive technology, communication supports, and partnering with Educational Support Associates (ESA) staff promote successful inclusion.

Course Description
