Join us for this equity designated course on May 14th and 15th from 4:30 to 7:30 PM to learn about the MTSS framework and application within educational staff associate roles to create inclusive environments. Strategies specific to ESAs for incorporating core components are emphasized.
Collaboration with teams (including families and students) and data supporting student program development for all tiers is presented. Service dynamics, frameworks for evaluations, and provision of equity-based services such as UDL will be explored. Instructors will facilitate conversations around barriers such as intersectionality, implicit bias, principles of inclusion, and social impacts.

ESAs Supporting MTSS (Equity) (6hr)

Course Description
Participants will learn about the MTSS framework and application within educational staff associate roles to create inclusive environments. Strategies specific to ESAs for incorporating core components are emphasized. Collaboration with teams (including families and students) and data supporting student program development for all tiers is presented. Service dynamics, frameworks for evaluations, and provision of equity-based services such as UDL will be explored. Opportunities for conversations around barriers such as intersectionality, implicit bias, principles of inclusion, and social impacts will be facilitated by trainers.Course Objectives
Participants will be able to:
Understand the role of ESAs within the MTSS framework.
Demonstrate understanding of MTSS as a supportive approach to all learners, utilizing data to inform team planning.
Demonstrate strategies for ESA collaboration with school teams including families and improving communication within teams.
Provide strategies utilizing UDL principles to recognize and address diverse student needs equitably in a variety of settings within each tier of support.
