This course is designed to support candidates as they prepare for National Board Component One, Content Knowledge Assessment. Candidates engage in discussions around their certification area standards and in purposeful analysis of the prompt descriptors. Through these activities, candidates self-assess knowledge to determine strength and growth areas. Candidates also learn about constructed response items and selected response items as they pertain to their specific certificate areas. Assessment ethics, procedures, appointments, and general overview are also included. Cost is $150, with payment to be made directly to Edmonds EA. If a candidate is participating in all 4 components in the same year, cost is discounted. Contact Edmonds EA for more information.

Participants should be able to understand the requirements of each component, including its scoring process.
Participants will understand how the Assessment Center questions link to the National Board Standards.
Participants may have supported time to work and apply the knowledge gained from facilitators and peers.
