About
Participants will learn strategies to address ableist microaggressions and create a positive learning environment for students and workplace environment for all. Participants will learn the history and the context of these microaggressions within our culture, and how they are most frequently used in an educational setting and in common vernacular. This can help eliminate barriers to equity that prevent student learning and the full participation of individuals and groups. Using an intentional focus coupled with respectful actions, participants will learn how to create more inclusive learning and work environments characterized by a sense of belonging and safety.
