Event Information
The SEA Dignity Conference educates our SEA educators on racial and social justice. The conference is planned as a full day of learning, with each session designed to build upon prior learning of self-awareness and belonging. Students need to feel like they belong. At this conference we will learn how we can learn to create space for others. Educators will explore ideas on how to engage in the story of self, courageous conversations, and will be provided updated information on state standards around student discipline in the classroom. In the intervention session educators will discuss basic challenges in common areas such as hallways, recess or hang out areas. These sessions will create a systematic approach to mitigate racial disruption to student success while also focusing on how the work needs us all to work together for the common good.
